This broadcast of Art Radio features recordings from the Sound Culture University and “As Salam Alaykum”, an audio documentary released on the Sounds of Life label. As Salam Alaykum is an Arabic greeting which means "Peace be unto you". The documentary is based on my experience in Bakau, the Gambia over a period of two months. Sound Culture University is held weekly at different locations in Bakau and Koto, the Gambia. Each session of Sound Culture University explores different aspects of life and living through music.
